1. Why do you typically book two-hour coaching sessions? Why not one-hour sessions?
I book longer sessions to enable you to get to the resolution you want faster & at less cost.
The research on “flow” – being effective in addressing challenging situations – indicates that it takes about 20 minutes to “get into” a topic. So working in “usual” length sessions of 30 to 60 minutes means that most issues take multiple sessions to address – costing you the 20-minute “getting into” window each time.
My experience of almost 20 years in coaching has shown that working in two-hour blocks enables many issues to be resolved in a single session.
And for issues that take more than one session, two hours allows us to: make significant progress, identify what our next steps together will be, and clarify any work that you / the client would like to do before the next session.
And remember, you pay only for the time you actually use.
